Labor and Employment Adviser Asif Mahmud announced the government`s firm position against extortion and market syndicates during the inauguration of a program selling agricultural products at fair prices in the TCB area of Karwan Bazar.
Mahmud stated, "The government is taking a strong stance to eliminate extortion and dismantle the market syndicates."
To provide relief to the public, he mentioned that the scope of selling essential goods through truck sales will be expanded.
He emphasized the need for media support in breaking the syndicates, which he noted are still active.
“If we can reduce the turnover of products, consumers will be able to purchase goods at fair prices,” he concluded.
