A mother and her daughter were found murdered with their throats slit in Ramgarh upazila of Khagrachhari district.
The incident took place on Wednesday night (August 20) at their home in the Purbo Bagan Tila area of Ramgarh Sadar Union. Their bodies were recovered on Thursday morning.
The victims were identified as Amena Begum and her daughter, Raihana Akter.
Confirming the matter, Ramgarh Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Moin Uddin said the killings occurred sometime during Wednesday night when the mother and daughter were alone at home. “Their bodies were recovered this morning. We are investigating how the incident happened,” he added.
