Police detained nine students and a guardian during the "March for Justice" organized by the Anti-Discrimination Students‍‍` Movement in Dinajpur.

Farid Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Dinajpur Kotwali Police Station, confirmed the arrests, which included five female students. The detainees were taken to the police station for processing.

Students from various institutions gathered at Dinajpur Gor-e-Shaheed Boromath around 11:30 am, carrying multiple placards, according to our local correspondent. As more students joined the protest, a team of armed forces and police, led by a magistrate, arrived at the scene in front of the Dinajpur Deputy Commissioner‍‍`s office around 11:40 am.

The authorities asked the students to disperse, but the protesters moved to Dinajpur Shaheed Minar, chanting slogans such as "Take your quota back, return our brothers." Many students, including numerous female participants, wore red ribbons and continued their chants.

A police team, including Detective Branch (DB) officers, then arrived and detained ten protesters, as reported by OC Farid. Following the detentions, the police cleared the area of remaining students, though no force or baton charges were used to disperse the crowd.

Police continued to patrol the area to prevent further gatherings of students.

The "March for Justice" was organized last night by the Anti-Discrimination Students‍‍` Movement to protest against mass killings, arrests, attacks, and disappearances affecting students and other individuals across the country.
