At a protest rally against Israeli atrocities in Palestine, Mamunul Haque, Secretary General of Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis and Joint Secretary General of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, issued a stern warning to the ruling Awami League, stating that they would need to "step over our dead bodies" to re-enter the political arena.

Speaking in front of the national mosque, Baitul Mukarram, after Friday prayers on March 21, Mamunul Haque delivered his speech as the chief guest at the event organized by Hefazat-e-Islam.

He emphasized that the Awami League, led by Sheikh Hasina, would not be accepted in national politics without accountability for past violent events.

He said, "The fascist government, from the Pilkhana massacre to the Shapla Chattar incident, the anti-Modi movement, and the July uprising, has committed massacres. Without justice for these killings, the people of this country will never tolerate the Awami League or Sheikh Hasina in the political field. If the Awami League wants to participate in politics again, they will have to step over our dead bodies. We do not want a politics of revenge anymore. That‍‍`s why we are calling on all political parties to unite."

In addition to criticizing the Awami League, Mamunul Haque turned his attention to the ongoing violence in Palestine, urging action to stop the Israeli genocide.

"We are demanding that the United Nations impose sanctions to halt the genocide in Palestine. We are also urging Muslim countries and organizations to step forward with strong determination to protect Palestine. I call upon the Bangladesh government to form a group of Mujahids from our nation to support the Palestinian cause."

He also raised concerns about the oppression of Muslims in India, referencing the growing violence against the minority community there.

"We are seeing Muslims being suppressed in India. There are conspiracies to spill Muslim blood and play Holi with it. If India dares to harm Aurangzeb‍‍`s mausoleum, the people of Bangladesh will not stand for it. We call on the government of Bangladesh to take action and unite everyone in opposition to India and Israel," he added.

The rally was part of ongoing protests by Hefazat-e-Islam against the violence in Palestine, drawing large crowds and a significant security presence around the mosque area.
