Setting a new global record with 220 taps, surpassing the previous mark of 212, Ragib Shahriar Ankan has achieved a Guinness World Record for the most football toe taps in one minute.
Ragib is a student at Dhaka University`s Communication Disorders Department. He accomplished this feat on February 20 in Dhaka.
Expressing his dedication on Facebook, he credited late-night practices and unwavering determination for his success.
“This accomplishment required immense dedication and hard work & I often practiced late at night. Everytime I felt like giving up, an intangible force kept me going, reminding me that I had to achieve this by any means necessary,” Shahriar wrote on his Facebook account on Monday, sharing his happiness with all his well-wishers.
In April 2022, another Bangladeshi youth Prenchong Mro from Bandarban set a Guinness World Record for most football toe taps in a minute with 208 taps.
However, another Bangladeshi youth Ayman Mohammad holds the record of most football (soccer) toe taps in 30 seconds. He made the record on August 17, 2022 with 144 taps.
