Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also the ruling Awami League (AL) President and said her party focuses what it could do for people rather than what it can accomplish in exchange of doing something for people’s welfare.
The premier came up with this remark while inaugurating the newly-constructed Bashkhali Upazila Awami League office in Chattogram virtually from her official residence Gonobhaban.
She said the new Awami League office would help spread policy and ideology of her party to the surface level.
Prime Minister also inaugurated 45 more community vision centers at Upazila Health Complexes in 13 districts over the country, raising the total to 135, bringing one-third of the grassroots population under free contemporary eye treatment.
According to Sheikh Hasina, her government has revolutionized Bangladesh and people's lives reducing the poverty over the last 14 years because “we always concern of what we can do for the people.”
"Awami League is a pro-people party and it will always stand by the people," she added.
