Professor Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal has been banned from entering Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) by students of the university who are agitating for quota reforms.
On Wednesday (July 17), a statement on behalf of general students was posted on the Facebook wall of the protesting students and on various Facebook groups of SUST. In this statement, it was mentioned that Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal was banned for life in SUST.
Popular writer Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal is a retired professor of the university. His wife Dr. Yasmeen Haque is also a retired professor of SUST. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal wrote an article on Tuesday (July 16) about the quota reform movement. A small part of this that viral on Facebook, garnering widespread criticism from the protesting students.
