Export and import activities through Dinajpur's Hili and Panchagarh's Banglabandha land ports will remain suspended for six days starting from today, for Durga Puja -- the biggest religious festival of the Hindu communities.
The land ports' activities will resume from October 17.
Hili Land Port Import-Export Group general secretary Kudrat-E-Khuda confirmed the development saying, "Only immigration activities will be on at Hili land port. All other activities will remain suspended."
Abul Kalam Azad, in-charge of Banglabandha Land Port, said that passport-holder travelers will be able to travel through Banglabandha land port in both directions as usual.
