Emraan’s 'Mumbai Saga' set to release March 19

The film, Mumbai Saga, starred by Emraan Hashmi is all set to release in theatres on March 19.

A poster headed by Hashmi is seen on his official Facebook page, along with John Abraham, Sunil Shetty and Jackie Shroff.

Helmed by Sanjay Gupta, John Abraham and Emraan have collaborated for the first time in this upcoming action entertainer.

Apart from John and Emraan, the film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, Rohit Roy, Anjana Sukhani and Gulshan Grover in key roles.

John portrays the role of a gangster who aspires to rule Bombay while Emraan plays the role of a cop who wants to kill John and win the prize money of Rs 10 crore, reveals the film director Sanjay Gupta.

Reportedly the movie was nearly sold to Amazon Prime Video for a lucrative deal but later on, the makers changed their decision and thought of a theatrical release instead.

John wanted a theatrical run since December and Emraan backed him. They both gave them the faith to take the risk of a big-screen release, said Sanjay.

A 3-minute official trailer of the film was released on February 26 under T-Series banner.


Emraan Hashmi, who is tagged as ‘serial kisser’ of Bollywood, is hitting the screen with several movies this year. He collaborated with Bollywood superstar Amitav Bacchan in ‘Chehre’ which is scheduled to release on April 30 this year.

His star in the upcoming untitled third `Tiger` sequel on the pipeline while the actor is also reportedly shooting for his upcoming horror film `Ezra`, a remake of a 2017 Malayalam film of the same name, due to release in 2021.

Recently, Emraan paired with Yukti Thareja in a music video namely ‘Lut Gaye’ which drew huge attention. Music by Tanishk Bagchi the song was voiced by Jubin Nautiyal which hit YouTube with 225 million views. From its release date on February 17.
