Drop in coronavirus infections, deaths globally

The rate of coronavirus infections and deaths has reduced across the world in the last 24-hour count.

A total of 5,997 more people died from coronavirus infections worldwide in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths in the virus to 39,93,319.

On the other hand, the death toll in the virus was 7,421 in the previous day.

Besides, some 3,27,857 people tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) worldwide over the same period, raising the total number of infected cases to 18,45,62,051. But the number of daily coronavirus cases was 3,77,099 a day before.

Meanwhile, some 16,89,07,181 people made recoveries from the virus infections across the world so far.

International survey organisation Worldometer disclosed the information on Monday (July 05) morning.

The first coronavirus outbreak occurred in Wuhan, China, in December of 2019. It started spreading in different countries of the world since then.
