Amid ongoing protest centering death of a Jagannath University who reportedly committed suicide, a student of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology `committed suicide` in Jatrabari`s Dholaikhal in the capital.
The deceased was SM Jakaria Zamee, 24, BBA third year student of the university.
Zamee was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on early Thursday in an unconscious state where the on-duty doctors declared him dead at around 1:30am.
Zamee`s father Md Delwar Hossain said, "Zamee took his own life hanging on a ceiling fan of his room over a family feud."
DMCH police outpost in-charge inspector Md Bachhu Miah said the body was kept at the hospital morgue.
