Two Bangladeshi workers died in a fire at a printing press in Malaysia`s Selangor state. Four more Bangladeshis were burnt.
Selangor State Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Operations Director Mohamadul Ehsan Mohamad Zain confirmed the matter.
The state fire department`s operations center (PGO) received information about fire in a publishing printing factory at 4:14 am.
Later, a total of 36 staff from Bandar Baru Bangi, Kajang, Semenyih and Serdang Fire and Rescue Stations rushed to the scene and took the fire under control at 4:48am.
Six Bangladeshi workers were trapped after the fire started in the factory.
According to the statement, four of them were rescued alive, while the other two died. The deceased`s bodies have been handed over to the police.
However, the identity of the deceased could not be confirmed immediately.
