Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said, today a full lunar eclipse will be visible from all over the country.
On Tuesday, the eclipse will start at Bangladesh Standard Time (BST) 5:12 pm (17:12) and will end at 7:57 pm (19:57).
If the sky remains clear, the eclipse will be visible after the moonrise from all the divisional cities.
A total lunar eclipse refers to a situation when the earth comes between the sun and the moon and covers the moon with its shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are exactly or very closely aligned on the night of a full moon.
