The trailer of Hansal Mehta`s upcoming thriller ‘Faraaz’, a Bollywood film based on the 2016 holey artisan bakery attack in Dhaka is released by T-Series on its YouTube channel on 16 January.
The movie is based on true events from the 2016 terrorist attack in Dhaka and features Paresh Rawal`s son Aditya Rawal as one of the terrorists and late actor Shashi Kapoor`s grandson Zahaan Kapoor in his debut film as a customer who fights against them to save lives inside the restaurant.
It also pays tribute to Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain, who displayed immense bravery during this shootout but died in it eventually.

Along with Aditya Rawal and Zahaan Kapoor, Aamir Ali, Jatin Sarin and Juhi Babbar are other members of the cast while Bangladeshi filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s own movie based on the same incident is still stuck at Bangladesh Film Censor Board.
‘Faraaz` will be released in India on February 3rd 2021 exclusively on ZeePlex.
The film is directed by Girish Malik and produced by Abhijit Mitra and Kaustav Roy under the banner of Holy Basil Productions Pvt Ltd.
It has music composed by Monty Sharma, cinematography handled by Sachin Kumar Krishnan and editing done by Sandeep Kurup.
‘Faraaz’ has been selected and screened at prestigious film festivals like the Cairo, Edinburgh, Kolkata and Goa International Film Festivals, amongst others.
The movie promises to be a gripping tale of courage in times of adversity and the power of love that binds us together even in our darkest hour.
It follows the story of Faraaz, a young man with an undying love for his family, who has to make impossible choices to keep them safe in the midst of terror and turmoil.
