On Thursday (September 9), Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the 15-member squad for Twenty-Twenty World Cup.
The T20 World Cup will kick off next month and will be jointly hosted by Oman and UAE.
The campaign begins with the first round against Scotland in their opening match scheduled on October 17. BCB declared Mahmudullah as the team’s lead.
Pacer Rubel Hossain and leg-spinner Aminul Islam has been named as standby.
Subsequently, on October 10 Bangladesh will face Oman, and on October 21 the team will face Papua New Guinea.
Consecutive wins will promote Bangladesh from Group B to the next round in the Super 12s.
