This time, people are returning home on Eid by purchasing tickets online. On Friday, the last day of Eid journey, Kamalapur railway station was crowded with passengers. Even after buying a standing ticket, many people climbed on the roof without getting a seat inside the train.
Today, passengers who have booked tickets at Kamalapur railway station are being allowed to enter the station.
Those who could not collect tickets online, are collecting standing tickets from the counters just before the departure of the train. Although standing tickets are limited, many are unable to collect them. As a result they have to find some other ways to return home.
On the other hand, RAB-Police and other law enforcement agencies are there for the safety of the passengers.
Kamalapur Railway Station Manager, Masud Sarwar told the media that the passenger pressure is high on the last day. But everyone is entering the station through discipline. He also said that everyone was happy as the train left on time.
