From now Bangladeshi citizens will no longer need a sticker visa to visit Saudi Arabia. Saudi government has introduced e-visa for all types of visas for Bangladeshi citizens. This e-visa was formally inaugurated by the Saudi Ambassador appointed in Dhaka, Isa Bin Yusuf Al Duhailan at the Saudi Embassy in Gulshan today afternoon.
He said, "Bangladesh citizens can go to Saudi Arabia with e-visa from today. Today is a historic day. Sticker visas will no longer be required.”
"Earlier e-visa was open only for Umrah for Bangladeshis. From now e-visa can be taken for all types of visas", he added.
In response to a question from journalists about the rescue of Bangladeshis trapped in the conflict situation in Sudan recently, he said, "Saudi Arabia has rescued 6,000 citizens of 100 countries from Sudan. Citizens of Bangladesh have also been rescued and brought. Anyone from Sudan can seek asylum in Saudi Arabia."
Bangladeshis can also get e-visa for visits to Saudi Arabia. But in that case they must have US, UK or Schengen visa.
