Supreme Court started writing verdict in Bangla: CJ

The apex court has begun writing verdicts in Bangla, said Chief Justice Hasan (CJ) Foez Siddique.

The CJ came up with the remark while talking to the reporters after placing wreaths at the National Shaheed Minar in the capital marking the International Mother Language and Martyrs Day around 9:30 am on Monday.

Hasan Foez Siddique said, the top court started writing judgment in Bengali. A separate branch has been opened to ensure the full-fledged implementation.

He said, a new software ‘Amar Bhasha’ has been brought to the Supreme Court to translate the verdict in the English language so that the commoners and justice seekers can understand the court’s judgment.

“We are remembering the great language martyrs on this day. We have to play role in building the nation being imbued with the spirit of language fighters,” Hasan Foez furthered.
