In the past 24 hours, 202 people have been admitted to hospitals due to dengue, according to the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). No deaths were reported during this period.
So far this year, dengue has claimed 104 lives, and a total of 25,912 patients have been hospitalized across the country.
In August alone, 4,932 people have been admitted with dengue, and 21 have died. Currently, 1,238 dengue patients are receiving treatment in various government and private hospitals nationwide, with 412 in Dhaka and 826 in other divisions.
DGHS data also shows the monthly hospitalization figures for 2025: January – 1,161 patients (10 deaths), February – 374 (3 deaths), March – 336, April – 701 (7 deaths), May – 1,773 (3 deaths), June – 5,951 (19 deaths), and July – 10,684 (41 deaths).
Authorities continue to urge people to take preventive measures against mosquito breeding and stay vigilant to reduce the spread of dengue.
