Tuesday in the capital's Aftabnagar, police detained two drug dealers with 35,000 pieces of Yaba worth Tk 1.05 crore.
Jomirul Islam, 45, of Kulia village in Jamalpur district, and Belaluddin Mridha, 55, of Basudebpur village in Natore were the two people who were arrested. Following a tip-off, a squad of DMP's Badda Thana police conducted drives in the Aftabnagar neighborhood of the city, where they first detained Jomirul with 2,000 pieces of yaba, according to a media release.
Later, based on the information given by Jomirul they arrested Belal with 33,000 pieces of yaba. The case was filed at Badda police station against the accused, release said.
