The government has recalled Saida Muna Tasneem, Bangladesh`s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, instructing her to return to Dhaka immediately.
The foreign ministry issued the directive on Sunday as part of an ongoing process to recall diplomats appointed during the Awami League government.
Saida has served as the high commissioner in London since November 2018.
Before her posting in London, she was Bangladesh`s ambassador to Thailand.
A member of the 11th batch of the BCS Foreign Affairs Cadre, she is scheduled to go on post-retirement leave in December.
