Due to the impact of Cyclone `Remal,` 24 international flights have been disrupted at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital.
The airport authorities confirmed this in a notification on Monday, May 27. They also mentioned that three flights were diverted, and three returned.
Previously, on Sunday, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, US-Bangla, Novoair, and Air Astra canceled all flights on the Cox`s Bazar route due to Cyclone Remal, stating that flights would remain suspended until the situation normalizes. Additionally, flights BG-395 to Kolkata on May 26 and BG-391 to Kolkata on May 27 were also canceled.
The severe Cyclone `Remal` has caused heavy rain and gusty winds in the coastal regions of the country. The cyclone has already crossed the coast.
