Education Minister Dipu Moni has announced that in-person classes of secondary schools, colleges, and universities will resume from February 22-- a day after a panel monitoring the pandemic in Bangladesh made the recommendation.
"Students aged 12 and above who have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, can attend classes in person. Other students will be participating online and TV classes "she told the media at the Secretariat on Thursday morning.
However, primary schools will not reopen now, the minister clarified, adding: We'll have to wait for at least two weeks for reopening the primary schools."
On Wednesday night after a meeting attended by the minister among others, the National Technical Advisory Committee (NTAC) on COVID-19 decided to reopen all secondary and university level educational institutions from February 22.
