The gold market in Bangladesh has finally seen a decrease in prices. The new rates have been set, reducing the price by Tk 1,295 per bhori.
On Saturday, June 8, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced the new prices in a notice signed by Masudur Rahman, the Chairman of the BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring. The new rates will be effective from Sunday, June 9.
According to the new rates, the price for high-quality (22-carat) gold per bhori will now be Tk 115,882.
The BAJUS notice stated that the price of refined gold has decreased in the local market. Considering the overall situation, the new gold prices have been determined.
It is worth mentioning that on May 25, the gold price was reduced by Tk 1,283 per bhori, setting the price at Tk 117,177. Before that, the price for one bhori of gold was Tk 118,460.
