Three Bangladeshi nationals were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Kuantan, a city in Malaysia’s Pahang state, on Friday evening (local time).
According to Kuantan’s acting OCPD Superintendent Mohamad Adli Mat Daud, the accident occurred around 7:30pm.
The victims were traveling in a Toyota Avanza when the vehicle reportedly lost control and veered off to the left side of the road.
The deceased have been identified as the driver, Md Sabber Hasan (30), and two passengers, Md Zahid Hasan (21) and Abdullah (24). All three died at the scene.
Two others—Md Habib Biswas (45) and Moniram Chandra Bas (40)—sustained injuries and were taken to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) for treatment, the police official said.
Preliminary investigations suggest the group was en route from Kuantan to Kuala Lumpur at the time of the crash.
