Ferruccio Lamborghini worked as a mechanic in the Italian Air Force during World War II. For this, he had to live on a deserted island called Rhodes, where there was an abundance of abandoned vehicle parts with which he had to repair wrecked vehicles.
Ferruccio returned home after the war to put the experience he had built up as a Lamborghini mechanic during World War II. After the war, he collected parts from various abandoned vehicles and started making his own brand of tractors which made a lot of name in the market at that time. And in a flash, the fate of Ferruccio Lamborghini emerged starting with the Lamborghini brand.
At that time, Ferruccio Lamborghini owned a 250GT model of the famous brand Ferrari. Having a problem with his car, he took his car to Ferrari headquarters one day for repair. After sending the car repaired from there, he found that the parts that were replaced in his car were used to make tractors for his company.
Seeing this, he asked Enzo Ferrari to replace the parts. This angered Enzo Ferrari and angrily told him, "You`re a tractor manufacturer, what do you know about sports cars!"
Ferruccio Lamborghini could not accept this insult. After coming home, he started designing sports cars for his company. And in just four months, he made his company`s first sports car.
The first Lamborghini model he built was the “Lamborghini 350GTV”.
Starting almost five decades ago Lamborghini has gone through many ups and downs to become one of the names in the car world today. A movie has also been made based on the founding of Lamborghini.
