Pakistan`s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif stated, "When we look at them (Bangladesh), we feel ashamed."
Addressing the transformation of Bangladesh from its historical perception, Sharif recounted, "When I was very young, we were told that Bangladesh is a burden on our shoulders. Today you all know how prosperous that country has become."
The Prime Minister convened with businessmen at the Sindh CM House in Karachi, Pakistan`s commercial hub, aiming to explore strategies for economic enhancement. While acknowledging Sharif`s efforts to address economic challenges, the business community also expressed apprehensions regarding political instability, particularly following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
During the discussions, Karachi`s business leaders emphasized the significance of political stability in revitalizing Pakistan`s economy. Additionally, they urged Shahbaz Sharif to initiate trade negotiations with India to stimulate economic growth.
