Delicious winter picnic recipes

Winter is the best season for picnic as the temperature drops in this season. Delicious foods and drinks can make your picnic day more enjoyable. Here are some winter picnic menu ideas for an amazing outdoor feast.

Beef burger 

Beef burger can be a perfect snack, healthy breakfast item for your winter picnic. 

Ingredients:

½ tbsp olive oil, 1 onion (peeled and finely chopped), 500g pack Beef Steak Mince, 1 tsp mixed dried herbs, 1 egg, beaten, 4 slices Cheddar, 4 white rolls, few  lettuce leaves, torn, 1 tomato (sliced), ketchup

Directions:

First, heat the olive oil and add the onion and fry until softened and starting to turn golden. Set the onions aside. Take a large bowl and mix the beef mince with the herbs and the egg. Add the onions to the mixture and mix well. Then divide the mixture into 4 parts and give them patties shape. 

Griddle the burgers for 5-6 minutes on each side. Make sure you lay a slice of cheese on top to melt slightly while the second side is cooking. Then lightly toast the cut-sides of the buns and fill with the lettuce, burgers, and tomato slices. Serve warm with sauce. 

Beef Biriyani

Winter picnic lunch can be very fulfilled with healthy and tasty beef biryani. 

Ingredients:

Beef: 250 g, Basmati Rice: 56 g, Crispy Shallots: 7 g, Cilantro: 1 tbsp, Garlic Puree: 28 g, Raisins: 2 tbsp, Curry Paste: 1 tbsp, Yogurt: 113 g, Green Peas: 56 g, Baby Spinach:1 piece

Instructions:

First, boil 1 ¼ cups water and then add washed rice, raisins, and 1/8 tsp salt to the boiling water. Reduce the heat to low. You need to cover the pot. Cook as long as the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, approximately for 12-14 mins. Then, remove the pot from the oven and set it aside. However, you do cover the pot.

Take another non-stick pan and cook the beef over medium-high heat for3-4 mins. Now add the garlic puree and stirring often, until fragrant, 30 sec. Now add mild curry paste, peas, and 1/3 cup water. 

Reduce heat to medium-low, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens slightly, 5-6 min. Now, add cilantro, yogurt, and 1/4 tsp sugar. Finally, add rice, spinach, and half the crispy shallots to the pan with beef and cook for 1-2 min. 

Pineapple & Vanilla Yogurt Smoothie

Pineapple smoothie is made with delicious yogurt and milk. You can also prepare it at home easily with handy ingredients.

Ingredients:

2 cups pineapple chunks, 1 cup vanilla yogurt, One cup fresh raspberries, 1/2 cup chopped dates or raisins, 1 cup sliced ripe banana, 1/4 cup sliced almonds

Instructions:

First, peel off the pineapple and cut it into small pieces. Wash raspberries and dates or raisins and cut them into pieces. Soak almonds for 20 minutes and then make their pieces. Peel off the bananas and slice them. Then take glasses or serving dishes, and layer the pineapple, yogurt, raspberries, dates, and banana. Sprinkle with almonds. Serve immediately. 

Egg Pakora

It is an easy-to-make dish that can prepare with simple ingredients. It is for you and your family if you are egg lovers. Eggs are rich in protein and so you can choose this delectable dish for breakfasts and snacks. 

Ingredients:

2 eggs ( boiled), 2 cups Potato (boiled and mashed), 1 tsp Coriander powder, 1/2 tsp Red chili powder, half tsp Garlic chopped, 1/2 tsp Ginger (chopped), 3 tbsp Onion (chopped), 1tbsp coriander leaves, Oil for frying, 1 cup Bread crumbs, One cup Gram flour (Besan), 1 pinch Sugar

Instructions:

First, heat the oil and add chopped garlic, ginger, and green chili. Fry as long as fragrant. Then, add chopped onions and cook till glassy. Next, add the potato and other ingredients. Cook for 3-4 minutes and then add coriander leaves.

Mix well and now your cover is ready. Now cut the boiled eggs into halves and cover them with potato. Now dip each ball first in the batter and then coat it with bread crumbs. Finally, deep fry and serve hot with ketchup, and mustard sauce.

Chicken (Morag) Polao

Morag polao can be your perfect choice for a picnic dinner. 

Ingredients:

½ cup cooking oil, 1 medium onion, 2 bay leaves, 3 cardamoms, 5 cloves, ½ tsp pepper, 2 small cinnamons, 1 ½ tbsp garlic paste, one and a half tbsp ginger paste, 5-6 green chilies, 1 tbsp raisins, ¾ cup milk (powder milk), total 6 cups hot water, ½ tsp saffron, 8 chicken pieces, 1 ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp red chili, 2 tsp kewra water, ½ tsp cardamom powder, 2 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, 1 ½ tbsp ghee, 4 cups-soaked rice, ½ tsp saffron, 

Instructions:

First, fry the onions to make them golden brown in color. Set aside and add bay leaves,  cardamoms, cloves, pepper, cinnamons, garlic paste, ginger paste, and cashew paste, and fry them for 1 ½ min. 

Add a splash of water as needed. Then add green chilies, raisins, milk, and saffron water, chicken pieces, salt, red chili, and cook for 20 minutes. Mix in kewra water and cardamom powder. 

Now put aside the chicken pieces and add hot water, salt, sugar, ghee, and soaked rice. Cook for 5-6 mins and then add the chicken pieces back into the pot. Cover with a lid and cook for 25 minutes on low heat. Finally, garnish with fried onions.
