The National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has issued corrections to some mistakes in textbooks of History and World Civilisation, Bangladesh and Global Studies, and Civics and Citizenship for ninth and tenth grades.
In a statement, the board said there were mistakes regarding the starting time of genocide carried out by Pakistan occupation forces during the 1971 Liberation War, the introduction of the process of framing of country's constitution, how many parties were in the Juktofront during the 1954 election, among others.
NCTB issued a total of nine such corrections in those three textbooks.
Contacted, Prof Farhadul Islam, chairman of NCTB, said they would send the corrections to all schools on Wednesday.
