Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Siddiq Zobayer, has been officially removed from his position.
The announcement was made on Tuesday via a verified Facebook post by Mahfuz Alam, the Adviser for Information in the interim government.
In the post, Mahfuz Alam stated that a full-fledged investigation committee will soon be formed to probe the Milestone School tragedy.
He added that the committee will be structured in alignment with the six-point demands raised by students.
"The Education Secretary has already been removed. The government remains committed to addressing all legitimate demands," the adviser wrote.
