Students across the country are preparing for admission to public universities for the 2026–27 academic year. Meanwhile, seven universities—including Dhaka University, Rajshahi University, Jagannath University, Chittagong University and Khulna University—have announced their admission test schedules.
Among the seven institutions, Dhaka University, Khulna University and the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) will hold their admission tests in December this year. Rajshahi University, Jagannath University, Chittagong University and Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) will conduct their tests in January and February 2027.
Dhaka University
Admission tests at Dhaka University (DU) will begin on December 5 with the IBA unit test. The ‘A’ unit test will be held on December 12, followed by the ‘B’ unit on December 19, the Fine Arts unit on December 22, and the ‘C’ unit on December 26.
Online applications can be submitted from November 11 to 25.
Rajshahi University
Admission tests for the 2026–27 academic year at Rajshahi University (RU) will begin on January 8 with the ‘B’ unit test, which covers Business Studies.
The ‘C’ unit (Science) test will be held on January 9, while the ‘A’ unit (Humanities) test will take place on January 16. The preliminary application process will run from November 12 to 27.
Jagannath University
Admission tests at Jagannath University (JnU) will begin on January 1, 2027, with the ‘A’ unit test.
The ‘E’ unit test will be held on January 8, the ‘B’ unit on January 15, the ‘C’ unit on January 22, and the ‘D’ unit on January 23.
Applications will open at noon on November 15 and can be submitted until 11:59pm on December 10.
Chittagong University
Admission tests at Chittagong University (CU) will begin on January 29 with the ‘C’ unit test.
The ‘A’ unit test will be held on January 30, followed by the ‘B1’ unit on February 3, ‘B2’ on February 4, ‘B’ on February 5, ‘D’ on February 6, and the ‘D1’ sub-unit on February 8.
The ‘B1’, ‘B2’ and ‘D1’ sub-unit tests will be held on the Chittagong University campus. Tests for the other units will be conducted at the campuses of Chittagong University, Rajshahi University and Dhaka University.
Online applications for Chittagong University can be submitted from November 15 to December 10.
Khulna University
Khulna University (KU) will hold its admission tests on December 17 and 18. The ‘C’ and ‘D’ unit tests will take place on December 17, while the ‘A’ and ‘B’ unit tests will be held on December 18.
KUET
The first-year undergraduate admission test for the 2026–27 academic year at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) will be held on January 8.
This year, the university authorities have decided to conduct the admission test simultaneously in three divisional cities: Khulna, Dhaka and Rajshahi.
MIST
The admission tests at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) in Dhaka will be held on December 18 and 19. The ‘C’ unit test will take place on December 18, while the ‘A’ and ‘B’ unit tests will be held on December 19.
To reduce inconvenience for candidates, the tests will be held in seven divisional cities this year: Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Chittagong, Sylhet and Mymensingh.
However, schedules that have not yet been confirmed through the universities’ final admission notices may be subject to change. Candidates are therefore advised to follow the respective universities’ final admission circulars and official notices for the latest updates.
