The first namaz-e-janaza of former finance minister AMA Muhith has been held in Azad Mosque in the capital’s Gulshan.
People from all walks of life joined the janaza at 11:05 am on Saturday.
However, the janaza that was scheduled to be held at Parliament Plaza in the capital was postponed due to unavoidable reason.
The mortal remains will now be taken to the Central Shaeed Minar around the noon where people from all walks of life will pay their last respect to the former minister.
The body will be then taken to Sylhet for burial.
