Eleven parties of the 20-party alliance on Saturday announced that they will join the upcoming mass procession on December 24, by expressing solidarity with BNP's 10-point demand.
In a written statement, the combine also congratulated BNP for their successful Dhaka divisional rally at Golapbagh Ground in the capital earlier in the day.
Secretary General of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Shahadat Hossain Salim said that the top leaders of the 11 parties have decided to jointly participate in the mass march.
The statement signatories - Bangladesh Welfare Party Chairman Syed Muhammad Ibrahim, NPP Chairman Dr. Fariduzzaman Farhad, Bangladesh Jatiya Dal Chairman Advocate Syed Ehsanul Huda, Muslim League Secretary General Advocate Sheikh Zulfikar Bulbul Chowdhury and others.
During Saturday's rally, BNP announced 10-point demands, including the demand for the resignation of the ruling government and the dissolution of the current national parliament.
BNP Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain announced the points at 4pm from the BNP's Dhaka divisional mass meeting at Golapbag Ground in Dhaka.
Meanwhile, all seven of the BNP's representatives in parliament are quitting their roles as lawmakers.
The MPs have sent their resignation letters on acting party chief Tarique Rahman's orders, the party announced at the rally.
