To coordinate the pressure, the party high-ups forced to enhance the closing window for an extra hour of selling nomination forms for the day.
The date of the 12th National Election is set for January 7.
Sheikh Hasina, President of the Awami League and Prime Minister of Bangladesh, formally launched the process at 10:30 a.m., however the sale of nomination papers for party candidates began after 11:00 a.m.

From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 81 nomination forms were sold for Dhaka Division, 51 for Chattogram, 17 for Sylhet, 26 for Mymensingh, 17 for Barishal, 39 for Khulna, 26 for Rangpur, and 44 for Rajshahi Division, according to the booths.
The procedure was paused for two hours beginning at 1:00pm for a lunch break and prayer.
Aspiring candidates have been swarming to the Bangabandhu Avenue central office and nearby neighborhoods since the morning to obtain forms.
