Popular Indian actor-model Sherlyn Chopra recorded her statement before the Mumbai Crime Branch on Tuesday (July 27) in connection with the alleged pornography case involving Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband business tycoon Raj Kundra. She claimed Kundra tried to sexually assault her, according to a recent report by News18.
Sherlyn has alleged in her statement that Kundra once showed up “unannounced” at her home as an argument occurred between them. Kundra then started “kissing” her even though she “resisted”.
Sherlyn also claimed that Kundra then told her that his marriage with Shilpa Shetty was very “complicated.”
Meanwhile, a Mumbai court on Wednesday (July 28) rejected the bail plea of Raj Kundra, arrested in a case of alleged creation of pornographic films, publishing and distributing them through smartphone apps.
On Tuesday, the prosecution contended that the police investigation was still ongoing and his release at this moment will derail the probe.
The public prosecutor opposed Kundra’s bail plea, saying he is an influential person and can intimidate witnesses if released.
Mumbai police have claimed that during their probe, it was found Kundra set up Armsprime Media Pvt Ltd, which, through London-based Kenrin Pvt Ltd, bought ‘Hotshots’ app to upload objectionable video content.
They had also said Kundra earned over Rs 1.17 crore between August and December last year by uploading pornographic content online through the Android and iOS version of their app called, “Hotshots.”
Several Bollywood stars including his wife Bollywood superstar Shilpa Shetty defended Kindra and told police that ‘erotica’ and ‘porn’ are not the same.
Yet, Shilpa yelled and cried during the police raid at their home Juhu home last week.
