The day started in favour of West Indies as they secured Liton Das’s wicket very early in the first session. Shakib Al Hasan couldn't hold on very long either. It was looking bleak for the Tigers and a touch of magnificence was needed. Enter Miraz and his own session of dazzling play!
He played delightfully and went on to bat till the end as he picked up his maiden Test century. Miraz is said to have the potential to be a great all-rounder but has often failed to live up to the praise, yet he showed today what he is capable of. His 168-ball 103-run journey featured 13 boundaries. After Shakib Al Hasan's 68, Miraz was supported by the likes of Taijul Islam and Nayeem Hasan.
Bangladesh scored 430/10 and the Carribeans are batting in the third session of the day.
John Campbell and Sheyene Moseley have already been sent back by Mustafizur Rahman who got 2 wickets in 6 overs. West Indies are under pressure in the early hours of the third session today.
