All medical colleges to remain closed from tomorrow

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to suspend all classes and examinations at both public and private medical colleges.

The move comes in response to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the potential electricity and fuel shortages in the country.

Professor Dr. Nazmul Hossain, Director General of the Directorate General of Health Education, confirmed the decision to the media on Monday. He stated that starting tomorrow, Tuesday, all classes and internal exams at public and private medical colleges will be postponed. Regular schedules will resume after the Eid holidays. Decisions regarding medical university examinations will be made individually by each university.

While all universities in the country have already been closed to conserve electricity and fuel, medical college classes and exams had continued until today. The suspension will take effect from tomorrow.
