Rishabh Pant hospitalized after car crash

Rishabh Pant, Indian cricketer was hospitalized on Friday with injuries sustained in a car crash.

The cricketer was driving the car which caught fire after hitting a road divider, a state government spokesman said.

Pant suffered injuries on his forehead and leg. He was alone in the car.

State police officer Ashok Kumar said Pant lost control of the car and that was pulled out of the vehicle by local villagers.

He was part of the Indian team that defeated Bangladesh in a test series earlier this month.
