Ahmar Mahboob, a prominent contemporary poet, has enthralled the international conference organized by University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB).
Department of English and Humanities (DEH) and Centre for Language Studies (CLS) of ULAB arranged a three-day international conference on “Entangles Englishes on Translocal Spaces.
The main attraction of the second day of the conference was the poetry session of Dr. Ahmar Mahboob who is also an educationalist, linguist, and researcher. He recited some of his famous and thought-provoking poems that include “Poster Boy”, “Splendid, Simply Splendid”, “Symbols” and the “The Diamond Jug”.
He also addressed the issue that how his poems are well-matched for the theme and goal of the conference. The poet believes that things that cannot be achieved through long research articles can be accomplished through simple and deep poetry.
Dr. Ahmar Mahboob is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics, University of Sydney. He is also the founder of Free Linguistics Conference. He was denominated as the Research Leader of Australia for his unprecedented contribution to the field of academic research.
