The government has promoted 31 senior assistant secretary-level officers to Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs).
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification regarding the promotions on Monday night.
According to the notification, the newly promoted officers have been empowered with the authority of Additional District Magistrates under Section 10(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, enabling them to perform executive magistrate duties in their respective jurisdictions.
The officers have been instructed to join their new postings by December 11. Failure to do so will result in immediate stand release from their current duties.
Additionally, officers whose offices have already changed must submit joining letters with updated office details, the notification added.
