Leaders and activists of ruling party Awami League have taken position in different spots of the capital city, centering the mass procession of BNP and other like-minded parties today (December 30).
They are on alert so that anyone can create anarchy in the city.
With a 10-point charter of demands for restoring democracy through the resignation of the ruling Awami League government and the dissolution of the parliament, the political parties will hold the procession together as part of their joint movement.
Sources said that BNP will bring out the procession from Nayapaltan, 12-party alliance from Bijoynagar, Gonotantra Mancha from Jatiya Press Club and LDP party from Panthapath, while Jamaat-e-Islami will bring out a separate procession.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Thursday said that the Awami League would remain vigilant on the day of the BNP’s pre-announced mass procession.
