Following the conclusion of the Asia Cup, the Bangladesh cricket team will take on Afghanistan in a bilateral series.
The series, hosted by Afghanistan, will be held in the United Arab Emirates and will feature three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 matches.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) jointly announced the schedule today.
The T20 series will begin on 2 October, with the second and third matches scheduled for 3 and 5 October, respectively, at the same venue.
The ODI series will follow, starting on 8 October, with the remaining two matches set for 11 and 14 October.
ACB Chief Executive Nasib Khan expressed pride in hosting Bangladesh, saying, “We are honored to invite Bangladesh and aim to deliver world-class cricket even at a neutral venue.”
BCB Chief Executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury expressed optimism about the series, noting, “After the Asia Cup, this series against Afghanistan promises to be competitive and exciting. The collaboration between the two boards will continue to strengthen.”
The series comes immediately after the Asia Cup, where both Bangladesh and Afghanistan competed in Group B.
