Bangladeshi farmer shot by BSF at border: Family seeks answers

A Bangladeshi farmer, named Habil, was shot and injured by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the Telkupi border in Chapainawabganj early on the morning of January 25.

Habil, who is the son of the late Belal Uddin from the Telkupi area of Shibganj, was working in his field near the border when the shooting took place.

His family rushed him to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for treatment.

The family of Habil stated that the BSF opened fire while he was working in his field.

In response to the incident, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) confirmed they are looking into the matter and are trying to get in touch with the BSF to confirm the details of what happened.
