Dengue causes another death, 51 new hospitalizations

Bangladesh logged another death from dengue in the last 24 hours till Monday morning.

This raises the number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in the country to 45 this year.

During the last 24 hours, 51 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Currently, 218 patients are receiving treatment at several hospitals across the country.

Last year, 1,705 people lost their lives due to dengue, making it the deadliest year on record.
