Police have recovered the body Journalist Amir Khasrur’s mother from her residence in Pirojpur’s CI Para area.
The deceased is Setara Halim, 74, wife of late Professor Abdul Halim and mother of former Voice of America’s Bangladesh correspondent Amir Khasru.
She used to live alone at her CI Para house, said family sources.
Pirojpur Sadar circle addition police superintendent Khandokar Khairul Hasan said that on information they recovered the body that bore injure marks in the throat.
Police suspected that the victim was strangled to death.
The body was sent to Pirojpur Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examinations, he said, adding that they were investigating the incident.
