The chairman of the voluntary Bidyanondo Foundation, Kishor Kumar Das, has received a legal notice.
Sabiha Rahman Nitu, a donor to the organization, sent Kishore the notice seeking details about the use of the money she donated. This was confirmed her lawyer Md Haider Tanviruzzaman on Wednesday.
He claimed that on Tuesday, they served the legal notice to the chairman of Bidyanondo Foundation.
Within 30 days of receiving the notice, Kishore is expected to respond.
Sources claimed that Sabiha gave Tk 40,500 to Bidyanondo over the course of two phases. After new claims against the organization were made, she looked through their audit report but couldn't discover any information on how her donation had been spent.
