Following the high-level reshuffle in the Bangladesh Army, there has been a change in the top posts of the National Security Intelligence (NSI).
Maj Gen Abu Mohammad Sarwar Farid, who was the commandant of Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA), has been appointed the new director general of NSI, said an order issued on Tuesday.
This has been notified from a Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
Abu Mohammad Sarwar Farid is replacing NSI Chief Maj Gen Md Hossein Al Morshed. Maj Gen Morshed was removed four months after taking charge of the NSI.
Maj Gen Khandkar Md Shahidul Imran became the new commandant of BMA. He was the commandant of Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Centre (BIRC) in the Rajshahi Cantonment.
Maj Gen Mohammad Asadullah Minhajul Alam has been appointed commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) in Mirpur. He was previously the managing director of the Machine Tools Factory.
Maj Gen Md Faizur Rahman, who was serving as DSCSC commandant, has been made the director general at the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence. An order for his appointment was issued on Monday.
