The government has appointed Rear Admiral M Nazmul Hassan as chief of Bangladesh Navy on Sunday.
He will take over the duty on July 24 this year after getting promotion to vice admiral, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) bulletin.
Nazmul will be promoted to vice admiral on the day and will take over as Bangladesh Navy chief, it added.
M Nazmul Hassan was commissioned in Bangladesh Navy on July 1, 1986.
