State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury has visited Gemalink International Port in Vietnam with the aim of visiting the ports of different countries to gain knowledge and experience about the planning, development and management of ports in a modern manner.
A press release signed by Jahangir Alam Khan, Senior information officer of the ministry of Shipping informed the matter.
Benoît Klein, CEO of the Gemalink port welcomed the Bangladeshi delegation that also includes Payra Port officials.
The knowledge gained from this visit will contribute to the formulation and implementation of Payra Port Master Plan, the handout added.
In 2019, an agreement was signed with the Bureau of Research Testing and Consultation (BRTC) of BUET to carry out the work titled “Consultancy Services for Preparation of Payra Port Detail Master Plan``.
