Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that full land development tax will be collected online across the country from the coming Bangla New Year-Pahela Baishakh.
She said this at the 'National Land Conference-2023 and inauguration of seven projects of the Ministry of Land' at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital on Wednesday (March, 28).
This conference will continue till March 31. National land conference has been organized for the first time to identify future challenges in digitalization of land services to build a smart Bangladesh.
Mentioning that many people had to face a lot of harassment while taking land-related services, the Prime Minister said in the conference, "We are building Digital Bangladesh. People will not have to face this type of harassment anymore. Whether anyone stay in the country or in abroad, their land will be theirs. We have taken measures to ensure your rights. We want all kinds of irregularities to be removed from Bangladesh.”
Assistant Commissioner (Land) has been appointed in all upazilas in order to remove manpower crisis. They have also been transportation services . Measures have been taken to modernize land management and prevent land related crimes along with digitization of land services.
